Well i finally got a 5th gen Camaro. Wanted one since I saw Transformers. It is a 2010 2SS. This is not my first Camaro though. I had an 87 IROC and an 89 IROC. The 89 IROC was the 1LE model. Following those was a 98 Navigator, 05 300C, and a 04 GTO.

Already getting the mod bug though (took a whole day to hit up the MarylandSpeed site). After searching around the forum it appears the CAI Inc. is the best option we have for an intake. Coming from the GTO world I would have thought the Vararam or New Era would have been the best options. Also it appears that axleback systems require cutting? If I am wrong please let me know. Since I would prefer to keep the stock stuff fully intact I am leaning towards Spintech full catback.

Welcome to the forums

I'm not sure about the axle-back installation since I haven't done one personally, but I imagine that's the quickest way to do it.

I suggest PM'ing a vendor on here and seeing if they have any installation advice for you.

sutherlacd27,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your 2SS. How does it feel to own a 5th Gen?

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
