Stubborn passenger door

I just picked up my Stingray a couple of days ago. I noticed that you have to really use some force to get the passenger door to shut (borderline "slamming" it). The driver's door is just fine. The hatch requires a fair amount of force also, but I gather that that is normal.

From looking around the net it seems like the consensus is let it "break in" for a while and if it's still doing it in a month or two, take it in (I'm not giving up my car before then anyway!).

Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience or has any advice.

Yes, same thing here. Passenger door and hatch take a bit more force.

The hatch is well-documented on the internet that it takes force to close.

I was having trouble with my passenger door as well, and just took it to the dealer to be re-aligned. Seems to be closing like the driver's door now. You could just live with it, but I thought that I might as well get it fixed now while it's still under warranty rather than being annoyed with it forever.

You can get a bit more flex out of all the gaskets with a conditioner for the rubber....see your local auto parts store and apply. Aerospace 303 is a great one.

hey FYI for the latch, if you have one of your doors open, all you have to do is drop the latch and it will close very easily. much better than trying to slam it shut

My door does the same exact thing. Every person that goes in there never closes it all the way. But I have seen some improvement since new.
