Quick question for you military guys
So my buddy is stationed in Camp Lejune, NC and he just picked up corporal. Well long story short I got a bunch of his friends from home to sign a card congratulating him on the promotion and wanted to send him the card and a bottle of Jack Daniels to congratulate him. I was curious if I can ship liquor to him (I know I can't send it via USPS so ill send it fed ex or ups). Any advice would be appreciated.

If it is not leaving the country and going to him at a deployed location than i do not see an issue with shipping it as long as FedEX/UPS will ship...

Check state laws, I know some states don't allow you to ship.

Not sure if this helps........
UPS only accepts packages containing wine from shippers who are licensed under applicable law and who have signed and entered into a contract with UPS for the transportation of wine. Note: UPS provides service for other alcoholic beverages (beer and alcohol) on a contract basis only. For shipments containing beer or alcohol, shippers must enter into an approved UPS agreement for the transportation of beer or alcohol as applicable, must be licensed and authorized under applicable law to ship beer and alcohol, and may ship only to licensed consignees. UPS does not accept shipments of beer or alcohol for delivery to consumers. UPS accepts shipments of beer or alcohol only among and between selected states

Well I read into it and looks like NC doesn't allow any private shipping of Alchohol. Looks like ill be sending a money order and the card to a buddy of his to turn into jack Daniels and give to him.

What he means is as a corporal he has all the responsibility (and workload) of being an NCO but not the pay. In the army it's a running joke.
