My dad has always been enthusiastic about telling his story of the muscle car days. Ya know, messing around with Nova's Chevelle's a certain 67 GTO he wished he had bought, claimed it was on blocks and almost vibrated off, offered to him for 900 dollars. Another GTO and his Nova, they had robbed a semi-local house, took nothing but an absurd amount of wine from the cellar. He was the only one sobre and was driving his buds GTO and let his drunk friend or something drive his Nova. All was well after a high speed chase with a state boy. Returned what wine was left and went on down the road (man times have changed) Anywho, the Boss 302 mustang always stuck out to him, one of his cousins had one, I'd always here him talking "now the GTO's, Camaro's, Chargers, they'd run, but them BOSS 302's man... nothing would stick to that car, it was like greased lightning, it'd pull a strip of paint off a car when we'd pass'em" Anyways, this Mythical BOSS 302 is still supposedly possessed by his cousin, according to my dad he refuses to talk about it or confirm its existence. If it does exist its probably rotting away in a barn (shame). Well we was at a local Dodge dealearship, having my dads jeep checked out. He seen a 2009 SRT8 Challenger, all the bells and whistles, he gawked over that like I would imagine he gawked over that BOSS. He looked and looked, sat in, etc. I couldn't convince him to take a test drive, he just talked and talked and talked about that car, all in all it was a great day, great bonding experience when all we did was talk cars. Just thought I would share!
