Interesting Vegan Diet Film
On Netflix I watched a documentary call 'Forks Over Knives' and its companion film 'Forks Over Knives The Extended Interviews.' I'll say this, I'm not a vegetarian let alone a vegan, and if I were you I wouldn't bet my money on me ever becoming vegan, but these films opened my eyes a little I think.
As with all documentaries I took what they said with a grain of salt, pun? Anyway, but I think the films, watching them over the course of 36 hours or so, may have instantly changed my diet and lifestyle. I think they are worth a look and you make up your mind about the material. The people in them are real doctors and such and have done real research. The only bad news is that one critic listed on Wikipedia says that this film single handedly did for the vegan lifestyle what 'An Inconvenient Truth' did for global warming. Well if that critic means the film got a moron to flap his hole for 2 hours talking about bogus science then 'Forks Over Knives' isn't worth a thing. But whatever.

I completely agree with you. I'm a vegan, so my opinions are obviously a bit extreme on this type of thing. But whether someone chooses to be vegan/vegetarian or not, I think it's important for everyone to know what's involved in creating the food that people eat on a daily basis. And more importantly what they are putting into their body.
I became a vegetarian at 13 years old after I did a research project over animal rights for school, and I became vegan after watching a documentary called "vegecated". Anytime I start to doubt my decision to be a vegan, I then watch another documentary. Forks over knives is a good one, earthlings is also a pretty good one. Not for the faint of heart though. But I know that these documentaries changed my life, it is definitely an eye opener |

I respect people who pay such close attention to their diets and follow them strictly. But I will never stop eating meat lol. I'm from Kansas City aka World's best BBQ, I can't imagine life without BBQ!
But I will definitely check that out on Netflix Nick C.
