Which phone

would you buy unlocked?

iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, or Google Nexus 5 (supposed to be out in Oct). Any other suggestions?

I was expecting the 5C to be a bit cheaper but the unlocked version starts at $549 per apple.com & the 5S starts at $649. The current Nexus 4 unlocked is $199 8gb (sold out forever - they're not restocking) or $249 16gb. The Nexus 5 will probably be $299-399 range. And since it's a Google phone you normally get the Android updates first.

I will never sign another 2 year agreement. Right now I get 100 minutes & unlimited data for $30.00 through T-Mobile. That's fine for my day-to-day needs. I have a Google Nexus 3 right now & since it's unlocked I get tethering for free also.

Since I'm already indoctrinated in the cult I would go 5s. But since you aren't already tied into apple it really just depends on whether you want your information or data to be tied into that system

I would say the 5C is just a plastic iPhone5, I would rather have a refurbished 5 than a plastic 5C and it would probably be cheaper too

The 5s is pointless. Why get a phone that has barely caught up to the latest tech when the GS4 had Haag it for quite some time now?!

My vote: GS4 or the new Note 3

Our next work phones are going to be GS4s.

That's my problem. I have a Macbook Pro Retina, and an iPad 2, and a 4S that work so well together. I'm not super impressed with the 5S, but I really don't want to give up all the functionality that I have right now.
