Talking ARK Performance | Formula D Genesis Coupe | Turbocharged 4.0L V6!!!

ARK Performance will be participating in Formula D 2013 with our Hyundai Genesis Coupe Drift Car!

There will be a lot of R&D going into this build as the Formula D season progresses.
This knowledge we gain from building the car and competing with it will be put back into future products that we offer!
Taking on a challenge such as Formula D will give us all great motorsport skills which will be translated to all products and services offered by ARK Performance!

We started with a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L and now...
this beast has a 4.0L Brian Crower stroker kit, a Turbonetics V-band 64mm billet turbo kit sponsored by TurboKits.com, and is tuned by BTRcc
making over 550 whp and 560 wtq :gc-drool1:

Who's driving this, Dennis? Looks like he's in the background on the first batch of pics.

Cool build!

I wouldn't buy this car mostly b/c it doesn't do it looks-wise for me like the Camaro, but it has my respect. As for this example....what a beast.

I'd still love to know what this car can do with a tune and bolt ons including headers? I'm guessing 380 crank HP or something like that?

Yep that is Dennis Mertzanis, good eye. Thank you! It's been going pretty well so far.

Usually the 3.8 can make just over 300 WHP with bolt ons, headers, and a tune. So probably about 380 crank HP.

Well it is something we have considered and discussed here at ARK, but more of those new projects will happen after this Formula D build is closer to completion. We do want to support the Camaro market with more than just our exhaust systems!

It's been a while since we have been on the Camaro5 forums, but now that we are back here are a couple of updates from the Formula D season!

We made many significant changes before FD Seattle and they made a huge difference in the Genesis Coupe's Performance.
We are very excited for FD Texas this month! It should be a fun course.

Some of the changes:
-AEM Standalone EMS
-Garrett GTX Series Turbo
-All new custom piping (shorter for faster response)
-Larger FMIC (gotta keep those temps down)
-More aggressive tuning
-Lots of suspension adjustments

13th place qualifying for Dennis Mertzanis:

Some awesome photos from Wrecked Magazine!

Dennis Mertzanis getting ready to race.

Top 16 line up for the ceremony and national anthem!
