Well I would disagree. For one it's not Automatic it's Semi Automatic.

And if you want a semi automatic for home defense or to even hunt it's your call not the govt. In my opinion.

The idea is stupid but not illegal.

You can modify any semi-auto gun to make it full auto. I have an ak on my list of to-buy guns. im going to sit it next to my ar-15 with its 15 30 round clips and my glock with its 30 round clips and my xd that holds 19....you get the idea. an ak is no more dangerous than anything else that is semi-auto and shoots something that large. most hunting rounds are that large or bigger. who cares how many rounds it holds, in most self-defense instances you only use 3 or less rounds. People just think its a "scary" gun. These people do not know about guns. Whats the difference between an ak and a semi-auto 308? You can have my 30 round clips and my "scary, black guns" when you take them from my dead hands. Also, i'll take as much stopping power as i can when some meth head is coming after my kids/wife with an illegally obtained gun/knife/his teeth whatever. If a 50 cal was easier to handle in the house and i wasnt worried about hurting neighbors i would use one of those.

Where do you guys get the idea that these rifles are "automatic assault rifles"? They are neither automatic nor assault rifles.
