wow! i think i saved a guys life today!
Now I'm not posting this to brag or boast about what happened but its not everyday something like this happends and I'm happy the outcome was good. That's why I'm posting this. Wanna hear what happened? Ok here goes.......
We were told late Friday that we had to work Saturday to make up some production and to do a big clean up because we had some big, big bosses coming in Monday. Koo I could use the overtime. Our big boss comes in to oversee our clean up. He a cool guy and buys lunch for all of us. We stop working at 11 and everone goes to the lunchroom to eat including the big boss himself. I had just sat down to eat when there were 3 coworkers just to my right. I noticed one of the guys had a serious look on his face and I heard one of the other guys sitting with him say "are you ok?". He tried to act like nothing was wrong but you could cleary see that there was. I heard him weezing and then gasping for air. I think the guys sitting with him thought he just swallowed too much and was jokingly gasping, I don't know for sure, but I knew this was no joke. He stands up gasping big time and without thinking I get behind him and quickly to the heimlich (spell?) Manuver on it worked pefectly. Whatever was in his throat was dislodged and he was able to breath. Everyone , including the big boss, witness this. He thanked me andsat down, shaken, but ok.. after we were done with work everyone went in the locker rooms to change and go and as soon as I get in all of the guys start congradulating me and call me a hero and employee of the year. A few guys tell me that they are gona buy me a beerand that I'm going to be recognized by the company for my act. One guy walks up to the ,almost, victim and shakes his hand as he tells him " happy birthday, you've just been given another chance". The guy thanks me again and tells me I got the food unstuck but now his ribs are sore haha. I'm glad we were all able to joke about what happened rather that what could of happened. I'm glad I was able to be there to help. But most importantly...... I'm glad he's ok.

Nice job. I witnessed the same thing a couple of weeks ago at Chic-fil-a. Luckily for him, the guy he was with knew what to do.

Awesome job. I know the feeling, my Father In Law was choking on a piece of veal and even though I've had no training we got lucky and he was able to dislodge the piece of meat. The adrenalin rush was amazing.
