Are all BMW drivers complete jerks?

I am convinced they give you a personality test before you can buy a BMW 5 series and unless you are a complete prick you cannot buy one.

No for the rest of the story. In addition to being a car guy, I also love road cycling. Today I set out to ride 150 miles. All is great until the last mile when a BMW comes up behind me on a 6 lane road, 3 on each side. I am in the right most lane, nobody else on the road but us. He pulls right behind me, stands on his horn for 15 seconds. If this were not bad enough, he pulls up next to me matching my speed and moves over really close while screaming profanities at me. Then, he decides to get even worse, after sliding to within 1 foot of me, he slams on the gas, swerves in front of me and stands on his breaks. I came very close to hitting him. Then he drives off when a truck pulls up on us.

Now one incident does not a blanket jerk statement make. I have been riding for 5 years. Every incident with and irate driver has been in a BMW. Trucks, Camaros, Vets, Lambos and even Mustangs give me lots of room. I ride in suburban and rural areas with wide roads and shoulders. This is the 5th time a BMW has acted this way or similarly. 3 years ago, a BMW matched my speed and pushed me into a curb. I went over my handle bars and broke my back that time.

Even though I have the jerks plate, the cops can't do anything without a witness. This is just infuriating.

Well, the brake-check & other stuff was unnecessary...however I do have to wonder why you were in the left lane with no one else on the road. Why didn't you pull over?

I think you'll find that most people in the world believe in keeping right except to pass. It's the law in most states, and it's the proper thing to do, even if you're on a motorcycle. When I rode I did it.

Handy guide for driving on highways.

OOOPS I meant I was in the far right lane in the right 2 feet of the lane. This is where I can legally drive.

Sorry. I did ride 150 miles today and spent over 10 hours on the bike. I am a bit tired.

Yes they are. I own a Camaro and I do not even think that Camaro drivers are the best.

I don't think I've ever had any incidents with any type of car or brand in particular.

But any ricer car regardless of the make or model ... always trying to show off and they have absolutely no idea how to drive.
For example, today I had some guy in a Scion tc with some obvious ricer mods swerving in and out of lanes on I-75 today and cut in front of me in a spot maybe a foot or two bigger than his car. These are the times when I think everyone should have to take an IQ test and a comprehensive driving test on the track before being legally allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle.
