Is it the angle or does the ZR1 get a half second jump on the V? Looks like the V was still getting lined up or something when the ZR1 left. Could have been spinning in place I suppose. Great trap though considering the minimal mods.

The Vette had a 1.89 second reaction time and the CTS-V had a 2.13 second reaction time. So, yeah, the CTS-V didn't cross the laser until a quarter-second later.
But that tree went quick! As soon as the CTS-V hit the "Staged" light, the tree dropped... Usually there's at least a little delay... Edit: Nevermind, the video was cropped together, I think there was some delay, it just wasn't left in the video. Maybe the CTS-V wanted to roll out of it slow to keep from losing traction?

Both had terrible reaction times.
The ride height on the ZR1 is lower than stock. Makes me wonder if the drivetrain is stock...

This is true if both drivers were only concerned about getting a good ET/MPH. Maybe they were focused on getting a good launch. RT is very important in competiton though....both heads up and bracket racing.
They could've been sleeping at the start too....
