Hyundai HCD-14 Concept.. V8!

I don't know if this has been posted already and I know most don't like Hyundai but just look at this car! It has a 5.0-liter Tau V8 engine that supposedly makes 429 HP and I believe cars with this engine start at $34K, but I don't think Hyundai released any specific info on this concept car. I think it looks bad ass, it is only a concept though. What do you guys think of it? (I'm a sucker for suicide doors)

Consensus on GMI: Grille pulled from an Audi, greenhouse from BMW 3-series Coupe.

Given it's a Hyundai, first, it'll be all horsepower and no torque like the 4.6L engine (in other words, not truly a match for the LS3 or coming LT1.

Also, given it's a Hyundai, it will be all show and no chassis....something that looks good on paper, but disappoints once you get behind the wheel and start to feel every cost-saving shortcut.

Agree on the BMW greenhouse, though my first impression on the grille was Chrysler rip-off.

But at half the price, I would think.

According to the website posted above (if its the same engine) it has 429 hp but torque does end up at 376. Torque does end up running a bit low but 13.3 on 1/4 mile on a 4199 lb car sounds pretty good. I wonder what performance it would get with the weight of the Camaro.

Thanks for the site! I had a hard time finding a site with those specs. I would have imagined, being a Hyundai, it would be bit less expensive. I guess they still are somewhat cheaper then their competition.

They need to stick that or the other V8 mentioned in this thread in the Gen coupe. Saw one of the new ones and man I really liked it.
