Challenger goes 0-60 in...

3.9 seconds!... maybe.

Car and Driver has shown two different covers for their April issue, and on the second cover (scroll down) it says something about a 0-60 time for a 'Hemi Powered Street Rod' which may or may not be referencing the Challenger... but it certainly looks like it doesn't it?

I think its for some custom Hemi car, not the Challenger. There's no way a car that heavy can do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. You're talking ultra exotic car 0-60 numbers there.

I dont think so....the "hemi street rod" being in yellow make me believe that they are speaking fo another vehicle. plus can 425hp in a nearly 4k lb car go 3.9?

I'm putting my money on some other car. But Car and Driver normally doesn't do tests of custom cars though does it? I'm not too familiar with them so I could be wrong

They're not talking about the Challenger. Because they've already got a title allocated to it:
"FIRST DRIVE: 425hp Dodge Challenger SRT8."
Then it talks about a street-rod.

I like the second cover better, though. The G8 looks bigger.

So when do you think Pontiac will put real pictures and real "Build Your Car" sections for the G8 on its website instead of the little microsite that's there now?
