Need help from ppl smarter then me

Ok so a fried has a Solstice 2007 model he decided to turbo. I helped him do the install but it took about a month. When we completed it we tried to start the car. Not with any intention of running it for more then a second or two. I just wanted to pressurize the fuel and oil system to check for leaks. Well we turned the key and nothing. All the lights and guages work till you turn the key to crank and it all goes black. Figured dead battery. Tried jumping it. Same. Tried battery charger for 24 hours. Same. The ecu was removed for tuning but he changed his mind and is going to do a scan cable tune. Ecu was reinstalled. A booster pump was wired it but neither fuel pumps activate when key is turned on. Checked grounds, relays, and fuses. All good. We tried the security relearn per the owners manual but no luck. I'm stumped. Ideas?

The vehicle probably doesn't recognize the ECU and/or vice-versa...

I thought about that but tune wasn't changed just unplugged and reinstalled. How do you reset it? I've left the battery unplugged for a couple days thinking it would memory dump but nothing's worked.

Does the security light show? Have you attempted other methods of relearn?

You could keep the ECU connected, but remove the battery for a half hour, this should allow the ECU to reset itself. If not I would try a security relearn.

Try this relearn procedure and let me know if it doesn't work..

1. First, insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (Do not start the engine). Leave the switch on for 11 minutes. The security light may flash or be on steady during this 11 minute period. Make sure the light is no longer on or flashing before proceeding to #2 .
2. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position (as in step #1) for 11 minutes again.
4. Turn the ignition switch off for another 30 seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position for 11 minutes a third time.
6. Turn the ignition switch off for 30 seconds one final time.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the “On” position one final time and wait 30 seconds.
8. Attempt to start the engine. If the engine starts and runs normally, the relearn is complete. If the engine does not start, check for trouble codes and address them before attempting the relearn procedure again.

NOTE: you must have it switch to on for AT LEAST 11 minutes, and off for AT LEAST 30 seconds. Anything that is not too far over won't negatively effect the process, but cutting it should could leave you with unsuccessful results.

Just make sure you use a timer, I would go to like 35 seconds and 11 minutes and 15 seconds instead of the listed times. I've seen errors with it not working because of people not making it the whole time.

Does the car have one of the keys with the chips in it?

I feel like there may be a PASSLOCK issue here if it's not a relearn problem, you may want to look into a scanner and see if there's anything with the security going off
