Unfortunately the article is kinda long...

but I like this author

check it out. Basically it boils down to: The movie Who Killed the Electric Car? which mercilessly hammers on GM for cancelling the EV1 is a load of crap. Something I happen to agree with:

Lets see,
the public didn't want the EV1
the government didn't mandate that electric vehicles were to be built
none of the other automakers even tried (to the best of my knowledge)
GM lost money on the experiment (i think)

Thats why the electric car died. So if you have something that you are losing money on, that nobody wants, and you don't need to make why would you continue? Not sure why they crushed them all though . . .
