How do you start a car club?

How do you start a car club? I go to alot of carshows and see vette clubs and cycle clubs in our area but no camaro car clubs. Anyone know what might be a way to start this?

I see you're from IL, what area?

My husband and some buddies started a club about 10 years ago. There were several guys who went to shows and cruises together already, so they decided to give themselves a name and ask others to join them. Now they have 23 active members and a few others that are "under construction" but still attend events to hang out. Over the past few years they've even started hosting their own events.

Or if you're like our club, there's folks who regularly drive 2+ hours to hang out and stuff, but the ones who live closest can't be bothered with it.

That sounds extremely familiar! The furthest member of their club is about 1 1/2 hours and their car isn't street legal, yet they drive to nearly every event to socialize...but others who are 10 minutes away are only seen a couple of times a year.

I started one where Im from. I started a page on fb and a post here in the state section and it went from there. Actually met a really good friend of mine that way. Its still small yet, only 26 members but I just started it a few weeks ago. I also have cards with the fb page on it. Just keep it fun!! Good luck!!!

Anyone thats in southern Indiana or close look up "Southern Indiana Camaro Enthusiasts" on fb!!!!

If you're ever in Western IL we'd love to have you join us for some events. We're out doing things at least every other weekend.
