convinced my friend to get a g8 gt help needed

I convinced my friend to trade in his POS IS250 and get a g8 gt...he was thinking about a challenger g8 gt or a gti( got him not to go import)
he went and drove a g8 gt fell in love with the tq but needs a monthly payment of 450 a month or lower...first dealer did the usual talk no walk....then i told him to go to another dealer. he found they had an 08 g8 gt 2000 miles demo car...the slaesman said he could practically give that car away to him. sticker was 34 ....but as i checked a kbb used g8 gt 2008 with 2k miles retail value is 28k...trade in is 23k so the car is used, probably abused since it was a demo car, its an 08 as well.....what price do you think he should get? i think 26-27 out the door...especially cuz it;s a demo car.

with 2k miles...25k out the door. You can find NEW ones with no miles for 28k.

Just did a quick look at G8Board.com and one dealer (Nino) has a 2009 Base GT (No Premium and no sports) for $27k and I don't know what Miami sales tax is. When I was looking at G8's they had additional rebates for vehicles that had been sitting on the lot for a certain number of days. With 2,000 miles I would think they would be willing to deal since it is pretty much a used car.

a demo is not a used vehicle. the purchaser is the original owner and available for all incentives and/or rebates.

You should get a hefty discount but not like a used car, a demo has never been titled.

But I guess you should have to explain something so simple to someone who thinks a Lexus IS is a POS................

I think you are getting agood deal at 25-26k....Let me know if he wants to add some HP to it!! I have a lot of customers whom are doing well with some SLP exhaust upgrades!

But definetly tell him to get his hands on that car and if he can do it for 26k plus the BS fees, then he is getting a pretty good deal. He will be happy!!!
