Star Citizen: Wing Commander MMO anyone?

Everyone give these people your money!

Basically: Space flight sim MMO.... can fight for the military or be a trader, smuggler, pirate... pretty much my wet dream of space sim games!

Yeah, as a huge space sim fan, it's been a LONG ass time since a decent one was released.... really the last one I can remember was X-Wing: Alliance and that was back in 1999! So there's been a whole generation of kids who grew up without an awesome space sim to play, its a crime I tell you!

So yeah, they're almost up to $6.1 million with about 45 minutes left! Every single stretch goal met!

Thanks to site difficulties in the last 24 hours of the crowdsourcing campaign, they're letting people pledge till this weekend, so you've still got a chance to get in if you want

If this is even remotely similar to Privateer with better updated graphics, I am so in.

Seriously...Privateer, Elite & X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter were some of the best games of this genre, and no one has really ever updated them to current technology.

Freelancer was the last great game of this type, and it's major knock for me was no joystick control, instead using mouse to steer/fire.

I wish somebody would make HOTAS control for X-wing, etc. That would be really cool

But I mostly joined this thread to state that Chris Blair is really my name. I know somebody that called me "LT" for two years before somebody let me in on the fact that he was referencing the movie
