message for moderators.

First I apologize for doing this this way instead of using private message, but traking down each of you for a message and sneding them individually is a pain.

The reason for this message is to make a request. I see a lot of messages getting closed. I'm sure it is always for a good reason, but sometimes it isn't clear to the members why this has happened. Is it possible that when you close a thread, that you make one final post to the thread yourself with just a quick explaination of why? I'm sure doing this will reduce much confusion and possibly reduce the number of questions sent to you and help reduce the number of repeat mistakes.

yea. not sure why the "give me the..." thread got closed. I've seen way worse waste of cyberspace threads that are allowed to go on for pages. or the other day someone got glue thrown on their bumper and the thread got moved to the modifications section as if the moderator didn't even bother to read past the title. its been brought up before. your request, I mean.

Well just so you know....you could send ONE message to all of them at once. All you would need to do is address it to them all. easy as pie.....as its possible that not all of them will see this......well most likely thay will, but there ya go.

Yeah, but I would have to look them up at the bottom of the page, write down all their names then type them all in the two line. I'm just too lazy for that..... lol

That is actually the one that caused me to write this. I was going to post to it and noticed it was closed, but that wasn't the first time I was sitting there wondering what happened.

I agree, at least maybe a little explaination as to why, would be helpful, and JUST MAYBE it might help it from happening so often. Ive actually seen this done a few times, but it's not the norm, usually it just ends up being locked or deleted...

I wonder if the mods feel like they dont even have to give a reason at all.

This is where my money is.

I'm also a little aggravated that every time someone asks about an issue with their Camaro it gets moved to a much less traffic area of the site.

When I posted about the paint issues and tranny issues I was having, it got shuffled quickly off to the Warranty section of the site. Warranty? I mean yeah, the car was new but me asking if other members had the same issue hardly warrants a shift to that section.

Just saying.

I see where you are coming from sometimes i get the feeling their way of looking at things is "its our way or the highway" we are the moderators and if you dont like it leave.

I have messaged them and only 1 replied. I got banned for asking a question about tenting or painting the tail lights in the general discussion and instead of messaging me asking to move it to modifications they banned me for 3 days saying ive been a member long enough to know better. What a load of crap. General discussion is general discussion sorry u made a spot called modifications that 1/4 of the people go to and 100% of people check the general discussion. Not all but some of the mods need to have there privileges revoked! They go way way over board with small things and let other things go.
