Challenger!

Pulled into a Chrysler Dealer today to admire a Black Challenger 392. The salesmen of course in on me in a flash and goes over my car and starts to compliment mine. Soon the sales manager is out with the keys to their car. Here take the Hemi for a spin and campare the two. Well needless to say I was sooooooo tempted but when I asked if I could take it alone they said no of course LOL Well IT just wouldn't be any fun with HIM along. So I passed << The sale's manger said well if you change your mind come on back. I'd love to have your car Out on the point of our used car lot Them Camaro's never stay on the lot for more then a week.)

Agreed! OP, why not just drive it with the salesman?

Anyways, I checked one out (Black 392 with grey stripes) looking for recommendations for my father and I loved the exhaust note, great for a factory car and really made me realize my stock SS exhaust was lacking.

Chrysler dealerships seem to be finicky about test drives in the first place.
I'm 19 and I was allowed to drive a new 2012 370Z and a 2010 Challenger (at a Chevy Dealership) and the first thing the Chrysler guys told me was "you can't drive it". I was thinking "well damn I wasn't even gonna ask, haha".

Of course the Chrysler guy was surprised to see my SS parked out front when we went outside, but the Chrysler people as a whole seem reluctant. A friend of mine got hell with his Challenger, Chrysler gave him all the trouble they could it seemed, and then he made the switch to a Camaro!

The Challengers look good but I do not enjoy driving them. They are just too big.

Based on personal experience, more often than not a salesman will actually encourage you to get on it when you test drive a performance car.

I have also had the same experiences as Hightower at Chrysler dealerships as well.

That's the good part about living in a small town. Most will let you go out on your own unless your a kid.

I would have tested it anyhow.

That sales manager is a dumbass. A smart man would have said "i have to go with you but I will let you really test this thing."

Thats what happened when I got my Mustang anyway.
