Hey guy's and gal's, just a little note about car shows.
If you are attending a car show and showing your car, please take off the front license plate off the front of your car, that includes all the brackets and stuff. Yes, I know - there will be holes showing on your front bumper. Truth is, for Photgraphers and Photoshop'ers it is so much easier and much quicker to simply zap out a few small holes instead of cloning out or removing numbers of a license plate. I know this does not matter to most of you, but I just spend like 2 hours removing license plate numbers off photo's I took at Car's and Coffee. It is boring, hard to do and takes a long time. So please guys, think of the people who take pictures at car shows. It helps us help you. You never know when you will find someone on the forum who took pictures of your car at a show, so be kind to us....make our editing a little easier. The reason why we try to remove license plate numbers is to keep people from finding out your information through searches, it is not always a threat but it is worth it. We like to keep you and your ride safe, it also keeps images looking clean. It only benefits YOU. Thank you! * I am posting this in both the General-Automotive and Photography sub-forums, as it pertains to both equally.

I rarely blur mine out. I mean, how many people see it a day just driving down the road? Not a big difference. But I can see doing it for other people's cars out of respect.

I am jealous of Michigan because it is so close to me and they don't require front plates. I got a ticket for no front plate and I wasn't even speeding... Oh and the biggest BS of all is that if you get a ticket in IL, they actually take your license so if you need a state ID to say get into a building or sign for a loan, your SOL... But that's a rant about IL, not car shows...
I never show my front plate at car shows

Do people think that nobody sees their plate driving on the road everyday. You can't "blur out" your plate in everyday traffic. Besides there are a million other ways to get info about you if someone really wanted to. I got my car in July of 2009, so I was like one of 3 in the whole city. My car's pic is on a thousand cell phones. Don't need to worry yourself about blurring out my plate number and BTW it has been in my sig for three years on this site!

The funny thing is, when Texas wrote the law regarding registration and license plates they actually forgot to include the word "license plate" in the law. Now cops can not ticket you for it. They will still pull you over every now and then and hassle you, but it is not required to have a front plate until they rewrite the law. IF you get a ticket for it, you can easily fight it and win. I've been pulled over 6 times in the last 2 months for no front plate and it's been a warning every time, to the cops that try to give me a ticket, I have a print out of the actual law to show them lol. A memo rolled through texas law enforcement agencies that actually said they can not give tickets for it anymore. So texas guys, if you're doing everything you should and you get pulled over for a front plate, THEY CAN NOT TICKET YOU!
