Bought my first brand new car, a 2LS.

Hello, all....completely new to these parts. About a month ago, I bought my 2012 Camaro 2LS, final price was $21k before tax. I put down $15.5k after working all last summer/fall to save up for it, I have most of the money available for the payments too, so I didn't stretch myself too thin. I have to admit, I came dangerously close to almost buying a Mustang, lol. Here are some pics, I wish I could drive it more, I've been stuck at school!

I can't welcome you to family, cus I just joined and I don't think I have that power yet, lol.

Nice LT, mod that sob out! Does your LT have an acceleration delay?
I ask because I have a 2011 Mustang V6 automatic and it has a lame accelerator delay, takes awhile to load up it seems like.

I am not insulting you, I literally don't know if a Camaro does it lol. I need to drive one soon.

You let them drill into your bumper? :(

Nice car!

I may know what you mean, I test drove a Mustang V6 6AT with the 3.31 gears and it didn't feel fast compared to the V6 Camaro with the 2.92 gears I have. I have a feeling the V6 Camaro has better low-end power compared to the Mustang...although it's not much of a difference. By the way, it's an LS, not an LT, lol. It really hasn't been broken in yet, either...I haven't opened it up that much yet.

Unfortunately, New Jersey requires front plates, so they kind of have to.

Sorry, I am barely learning about the Camaro, I didn't know about the LS. I thought it was just LT and SS. My bad. :(

Texas requires front plates too, but if you ask they won't drill in. They just give you the bracket and screws and trust you to do it. That's only if you ask though.

Thanks for answering my question!

I don't really plan on modding at all...I plan to save up my money and either upgrade or get another car. I've always been a fan of keeping cars stock, I'm going to be in the minority here, I can tell, lol. An STI, an SS, a GT, or even a used C6 are all ideas for the future....I have a few years to go. I'm curious to see what the 6th gen is going to hold as well.

All Star, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
