Where I've Been
Okay...so it's very cold here in TN and I am thinking of spring time and vacations, hot weather, and green all around...
I was looking through my pics and thought it might be fun for us to post pictures of where we've been or where we'd like to go. I'll go first. I was looking at pictures of my visit to Rome in 2010. Here's a couple of them.

It was fun, but it was hard to get used to the insane driving and all of the scooters. They were everywhere.

Nice. What was your favorite part? We spent four days in Rome and really didn't go anywhere else. Where would you recommend?

I lived a couple years in Paris when i was studying for my diplôme supérieur from la Sorbonne. It was probably the best time in my life.
The rest of France is also hella great. Don't ignore the small villages either. If you don't speak French, hook up with someone who does. It makes all the difference in the world to be able to communicate in the language of the inhabitants. Expecting them to speak English is rude and is sensed as a form of bullying. Most Americans don't appreciate being expected to speak Spanish by Latin American visitors, do they? |
