Volt Concept Damaged

I was just at the Seattle Auto Show this past weekend to see the Bumblebee Camaro. While I was there I thought I might as well check out the Chevy Volt concept that was supposed to be there. However, when I asked a Chevy representative where it was, she told me that it had been damaged on its trip back from being overseas. I'm not sure how extensive the damage was (probably just minor bodywork), but she told me it's back in the labs getting fixed.

Probably not as bad off as the Pontiac G8 whose engineer fell asleep at the wheel. I'm sure its a great car, but incidents like that don't speak well of the excitement factor.

^well, the GTO is a nice car and let me tell you if I EVER was going to fall asleep at the wheel it would be in that car. Why? Not because it's ho hum, but because it has the most...MOST comfortable seats I've ever sat in...in a car, sadan, van, sports car, etc. So...maybe the G8 has the same seats, lol.

Anyway, stuff like that happens...I remember a story of a bunch of Vulvo's sinking with the ship that was taking it to the US. Brand spanking new...down the drain.

Yeah I was kidding with the whole excitement thing. Those things just happen. You could also say the engineer was so dedicated to making the car great that he neglected his sleep.

As an engineering student, I can honestly tell you that sleep is one of the first things to go when you get working on a project. All the more when you enjoy working on that project

It is a very rough and tumble journey coming across the sea in a freighter. I saw on television how they had to do the Elise cars when coming into the country they have a whole body shop right there to fix any problems, scratches dings. etc.

The volt is probabally just fine. but no in show condition. So how was bumblebee?

Bumblebee ruined the whole Auto Show for me. It was one of the first cars I saw (you could say I made a bee line for it) and nothing else could stand up to it. It's just such a SWEET car, it put all the other cars to shame. They all looked so... boring in comparison to the Camaro (even if it was just a shell). In my opinion, it even put the Corvettes to shame. Granted they're a different class of car, but the Camaro just looked more powerful and stylistically beautiful at the same time.
