Traded in my SS 2010 for this. I'm already having problems though. womp womp
So I traded in my SS two weeks ago. I miss her, but I love this car also. I have an issue though, above 60 mph whenever I give throttle I get this annoying whistling/whirring sound. It sounds like a supercharger and I can't pin point where its coming from. I've read about C5's having an issue with their throttle bodies. I thought my noise was coming from the NPP exhaust lines because it sounds like its coming from the exhaust. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like it could be a throttle body. Aftermarket ones can actually be designed to do that I think. "Cyclone mixes fuel and air better causing better HP" mumbo jumbo. My buddy put one on his Ram2500 and every time to flutter the pedal it whistles, he loves it but I don't get it.
Sweet ride man, that's probably the only thing I would trade my Camaro in for at this point! |

Very nice... If I didn't have a little girl I would have bought that in a heartbeat.
Congrats.

Hello, thank you for your compliments. I am hoping its the throttle body and not some transmission problem. I had this car for two weeks, but this issue is annoying. I goes with the territory when buying a preowned car. the C5 LS2 and LS6 have a widespread problem with the TB, but I have not heard of anything like that with the LS7 on my car.

I drove a 911, Cayman, C6 Grandsport, and a few Z06s. My camaro felt too floaty. It had good power, but the suspension needed work. I initially was going to get the Pedders street Kit because I heard it really improves the suspension. My dissatisfaction with the SS suspension became evident to me when I bought a used g35x for the snow and that car was more fun to drive in certain respects. In a straight line it is not as fast as the SS, when it comes to turning and changing in and out of lanes the g35x felt much better. The Z06 does not handle as nicely as the porsches, the feedback is not there. Cars like porsches, and evos are a lot of fun to drive and you feel very connected to the car like you think of what you want to do and the car does it exactly how you want. The Z handles better than the camaro in terms of responsiveness, its light and goes really really fast. I went with the Z because I like the raw power it has over the Porsche, even though they handle better.
