World Travel

Soooo last summer, I traveled for 2 months around South America after I graduated college. Most awesomest thing ever. Not having to worry about anything except where you're headed to next is amazing. My only regret: traveling with 3 friends. I like my friends but I feel like a couple of em kinda held us back. Not only that but I feel like it's an experience in itself just traveling alone. I think I want to take another stab at it.

Now that I've been working, I'm getting sick of it. Work sucks. I mean, my job is good. I'm on this forum half the day anyways. But having to get up every day and sit in a cubicle sucks. Not just that work sucks, but traveling is awesome.

So here's the delima. I've got a good amount of coin saved up for my Camaro. But now I'm thinking that I could just ditch it all (quit my job, sell my truck, etc) and travel the world for a year. Buy an around the world ticket and just go. There's lots of places I haven't been to and would love to see. I'm relatively young and don't have anything tieing me down. But man, I'm going to miss that Camaro lol.

What do you guys think? The Camaro will (well better be) here when I get back. I won't have this kind of opportunity forever.

if you can travel the world and buy a camaro later, it's a toss up.

Enjoy your memories of travelling the world at a semi-young age, or enjoy your camaro at a semi young age.

Then later in life, travel the world and enjoy a different part of it, or enjoy your camaro at an older age for different reasons.

After reading your other post about what a crappy experience you'er having with your dealer I would say to travel. It is true that the car should still be around when you get back. Only other thing I can say to consider would be, what would your financial and stability situation be when you came back? Would you be able to afford a cool car? In the end I guess who really knows.

travel!!! seriously, it's not even close!

I'm only (?) 25 myself. You're young, you have no real reponsibilities (wife, kids, house etc) and the time/money to travel. go for it! you most likely won't be able to do it later in your life. the car can wait imo. at some point if you don't do it you will be sitting in a traffic jam on a miserable monday morning going to work and you will be thinking "i missed a great opportunity."

and yeah, I love traveling by myself too. Don't have to talk to anybody on the train, just look out of the window and listen to music. If you wanna talk to somebody you'll meet new people at the local pub. Call me crazy, back when I lived in FL I sometimes even went to Busch Gardens by myself ;p I could ride whatever Rollercoaster I want and as much as I want lol.

*edit*
and btw, you wouldn't have to go to epcot anymore to do the "drinking around the world" thing
