I know JDPower can be sort of a dubious ranking system, but grats to GM and American manufacturers in general.

Keep in mind that the vehicles in this survey are actually 2006 models...GM's overall dependability should increase dramatically with next year's study.

I think JD Power is what the automakers use to benchmark against each other, so if thats true then I'd say its pretty reliable. But yes it does disagree with say ... consumer reports ... which adds to its credibility in my book.
