That's awesome! The more Camaros, the more it will be as common as Camry! Yay! Having unique exotic looking cars is over-rated - homogeneity and "me-too" FTW!!

Should've bought a Ferrari if you wanted an "exclusive" car.

You own a mass-produced affordable sports coupe, sold under the second best-selling brand in America, manufactured by the world's largest automaker.

Nobody should have expected this car to stay exclusive from the start.

And yes, it is awesome. The more Camaros, the more profit GM makes, the more incentive GM has to continue the nameplate.

Fixed that for you.

Yeah, GM should have limited production on the Camaro. I mean, its way more important for a few people to think their $30k-$40k car is a rare exotic than it is to actually make money on the car.

Seriously ... its General Motors! Its not Unique Motors, not Limited Motors, not Special Motors, not Rare Motors ... General Motors!

Others have correctly lambasted you for the comment. And a car that starts at 23 grand is never going to be exclusive. If you love your car it won't matter if everyone on your block has one.

No I get it. I just don't get it why some Camaro owners are so excited that there's a bazillion of them on the road. The other day I saw 3 Camaros (2010+) for every Mustang (2005+) - it was a coincidence of course, but the point is they are everywhere.

All that matters is that GM makes them - not whether there are billions on the road. The Smoking Tire review was right: the Camaro has an edgy design, but it gets tired when there's millions on the road. The edgy look only "works" when it's rarer. If I was a Mustang owner I'd be really happy that there are more Camaros being sold, so I don't quite get what's the source of the excitement from some Camaro owners - is it from a perception of GM #winning in the race for homogenization?

Maybe it's a personality thing. Some people strive to be unique, some people strive to conform. Yes - the Camaro is a cheap car, but that doesn't mean I should get excited when everyone owns one. I don't see Toyota Camry owners getting all excited that there's millions of genericized Camrys on the road, but that's essentially what some Camaro owners are getting all excited about.

The vast majority of Camry owners don't know much or care much about cars, that's why they own a Camry. Therefore they could not care less if there are a million Camrys on the road.

On the other hand, the market the Camaro competes in is a very small, niche market with thousands of enthusiasts, and seeing it be successful up against the traditional sales leader is an accomplishment.

The more Camaros GM sells, the better. Exclusivity be damned.
