TEXAS/OU the love/Hate Starts at a Early Age
TEXAS/OU WEEK its here Baby Win or Lose
this is what we look fwd to every year. A GREAT football matchup with no injuries. This last Saturday morning I sat in a Hospital room with my First Son/kid who had just come into this world hours before. I was sitting there as he laid in his little transparent craddle ( whatever its called ) and I watched the Texas A&M and Arkansas Game. For me this was a hard Game to really pull for either one since both are my long time rivals. I just wanted a good game and that is just what I saw down to the wire. with 8 minutes to go in this Game I got up during a commerical to go use the Restroom. Understand my Son isnt really Collicy so he is quiet unless he needs attending to. I was in the restroom and I happened to hear him SCREAMMMMMMMING !!!!! I'm thinking to myself What the hell is going on ??????? So I walk out of the restroom and there is a nurse standing there holding my Son about to put some headphones on him to check his hearing. he is SCREAMINGGGGGGG like no other I happen to look at her Scrubs and what do I see ? OU OU OU OU OU OU OU OU OU OU I thought quietly Oh thats F'ed up but funny. I looked at her laughing and jokingly I said " you hurt him and I promise you , your white horse mascot and wagon will disappear " She laughed her @$$ off as she looked down in his craddle and saw his little longhorn beenie. She held him out in front like a sack of potatoes saying EWWWWWWWW a GERM but in all good humor of course. As she tested his hearing ( she says she was making him listen to Boomer Sooner......B!t@H lol ) We both sat there watching Arkansas come back and beat A&M when she was done we chatted and then she said good luck Today break a leg next week and Cute kid by the way lol I love Football season and now I more than ever love my son I just think its funny the first time I ever heard him SCREAM Cry he had to look at that Dam OU lettering. ![]() I had to take a picture of it to joke around with the OU part of my Family during the Holidays. ![]()

Congrats from me also, Jekyll. They grow up fast. My youngest is about to be 14 and I can tell you from experience, BOYS are much easier to raise.
That story is something you'll be able tell him when he's older and then be able to tell his kids, that's just funny right there! |

Shit.
I don't surf the Sports section, only use the User CP function so I missed this. Congrats on the little *cough* Longhorn. ![]() I agree with Dirty D, they grow up fast. I've always heard that saying and always kinda rolled my eyes and thought to myself "If I had a dollar for every time ..... yada yada" but it's so true. My son grew up mostly here in Alabama and he's a DIE HARD Sooners and Bills fan. So it's fun to enjoy the sports with them. You're job will be less brainwashing than my son because you are there but it runs deep. ![]() Funny stuff with the OU scrubs.
