Lawn Tractor Headlight HELP!

Hey guys. I am 23 years old and my father recently passed away so I moved home to be with my Mom to help her around the house and keep the yard up and so on. Well, he has a lawn tractor that he used to cut the lawn and plow the snow with. Long story short, I turned the headlights on a couple weeks and both bulbs burnt out at the same time. Today I replaced both bulbs and that didn't fix it so I replaced all the fuses on the tractor and they still aren't working. Any one have any suggestions or tips as to I should do next or should I get it looked at? Any help/tips would be very much appreciated.

Do you have power to the headlight switch ? Check with a volt meter . Maybe a bad ground. All kinds of little things. Just like a car on a smaller scale.

Unfortunately there is a lot of things that it could be...

Do you have any experience with electrical systems? If so I would contact the manufacturer and see if you can get your hands on a wiring schematic.

Or you can just start tracing backwards from the headlights checking for power with a voltmeter.

Hahaha I plow snow at night with it and with the winter coming, I need to get them working again. But no I don't have any electrical experience at all. I think it might be time for a trip to the dealer. Damnit

could easily rewire them, direct off batter to a fuse, to a switch, to the bulbs, bulbs ground to frame. Add a red light in the back while your at it.

could even upgrade the bulbs for more light.

Problem is the charging system isn't great on them, and often have small battries.

[best other mod is a full size car batt for a LT, lights and a stereo, use deep cycle ]
