warranty on keyfobs?

Just curious on this. I also have a Malibu and the keyfobs for the car are complete crap. Both key fobs are broken. How often does that happen.

I thought the battery was dead in both, opened them up and you can see the metal piece that holds the battery is broken from the circuit board, in both remotes. Which tells me the solder points are shit on these. I can hold them together with force and the remotes work, just crappy solder job.

Anyone think my dealer will laugh me out of the store if i try to get these covered under warranty?

Your fobs should be covered. If you catch any flak let me know and I'll try to help sort it out for you.

Chevy key fobs covered by warranty. Honda manufacturer defective alignment that ate a set of tires in 15K miles considered general maintenance and not covered under warranty. When can I get outta this import crap and into a real car and a company with real customer service. WIN for Chevy FAIL for Honda
