Anyone got Colorado/canyon? Or avalanche?

Need a new dd and want something fairly reasonable on fuel, obviosly they won't be great but does anyone have a canyon or Colorado with the 3.5? How would they compare to your camaro Ss on fuel? I hear they are pretty bad for what they are. Maybe I'd be better off with an avalanche or 1/2 ton with a 4.8 liter in it?
Any insight is appreciated

I had a standard cab Colorado 2.8L 4 banger with a 5 speed. It got at least 22MPG around town and probably better on highways. I wish I kept it, it was a great little truck.

My brother had one with a 2.2 for work and he said it was decent on fuel but he also thinks his hummer is "not bad at all" on fuel. So I don't put too much trust on his opinion on economy lol

I've got a 2005 2WD 3.5 inline5 xtreme ZQ8 suspension. It's not the most fuel efficient engine. Mixed driving, low 20s. AEM CAI, washable filter.

I love Chevy but the Colorado is not at the top of the heap on fit and finish. Great dependable truck however. Also, I purchased a regular cab, never again... go for an extended at least.

Ya I know they're not gonna have plush interior or great fit and finish. It's just for a beater I jus want it to be reasonable in fuel and somewhat reliable

The last time I checked you could get a 3.7 (3.5L was phased out) I5 and a V8 but it's been quite some time. I wouldn't be surprised if the 'ol pushrod 8 cylinder was just as fuel efficient.

I know that the www.fueleconomy.gov website would have the fuel mileage ratings you may be looking for (from the US Govt). But you'd be able to check all sorts of model years and vehicles and see them side by side to make a better more informed decision on which vehicle is right for you. Also the 2012 model Colorado 2WD is getting 25 mpg highway and 18 mpg city. Thats with the 2.9l 4 cylinder (automatic or manual makes no difference). The 2005 Colorado 2.8l manual gets 24 mpg highway and 18 city. I hope that helps you!

I owned an '07 Colorado 3.7, auto, ZQ8, regular cab. Averaged 19 mpg. Nice truck but stiff ride, noisy and cheap looking interior. I'll see if I can find a picture of it.
Here it is.
