I'm really sleepy, but am busy writing a paper Wish I was more awake so this paper would make more sense.

7-9 page draft about how single mother's of low social status and low income can still raise a child to lead a healthy and normal life.

Wouldn't most statistical data show the counter to be true? Not trollin' I tend to read a lot on social issues and low income single parent families are usually working against a large wave of problems?

Most data would show that, but I've actually found a lot of data for 1995 and up that shows the opposite. I'm trying to argue that a loving mother, who tries to provide for her son even though she sometimes can't will have raised a better child than one from an abusive father/mother from a better off family. I'm not saying that single family is better. Here's a quick excerpt from my conclusion:

The general point here that is being made is not that single parents are in general better in parenting than regular couples. The ability of the parents to love, protect,
spend time and communicate with the child is a lot more important in raising a child than whether the parents are single, couple, unmarried or gay.

Ah, I see where you're going with it. Disregard my previous comment.

Disregarded I think I'm about ready to just give in for the night, I barely got any sleep last night and want to get a couple hours in for tonight. 6 pages for a draft is good enough

1.25 - double spacing could easily bump that to 7 pages. In addition, using the "even justified" instead of "left justified" can also increase the length of the paper.

That might be an interesting read... I watched a special on the NFL network the other night about Shannon Sharpe - he was raised in absolute poverty by his grandmother and turned out great....

I'm trying to use examples like that, people who grew up in poor single parent conditions who have made it today.

I read an interesting article about constant praise of a child can lead to issues... "I'm already wonderful, I don't have to 'work hard' to succeed."

This quote, "The harder I work the luckier I get" has more merit.
