Exclamation Ryan Dunn of Jackass...

Police: 2 Dead In Wreck, Speed Was Possible Factor

WEST GOSHEN, Pa. - Ryan Dunn of MTV's "Jackass" series died in an early morning crash Monday in Chester County, Pa., police have confirmed.

West Goshen Township police say Dunn and a passenger in his 2007 Porsche died early Monday after the car left the roadway and burst into flames.

Authorities say speed may have been a factor.

Supposedly, he posted pictures on twitter of himself drinking hours before the crash

I'd say good riddance if he didn't have passenger with him.

That's kind of a rude thing to say.
Regardless of what you think of the person or circumstances, two people died.

By the looks of what they fished out of the woods...he was moving pretty damned fast when he left the road...I grew up on those roads and it is NO PLACE TO SPEED - A 911 GT3 took Ryan and his passenger to their graves...

Yes and that is unfortunate. Believe I feel sorry for the passenger and their family especially...even the driver's. I was almost killed and ended up standing a real good chance of losing my left arm because of someone and their disregard for traffic laws, so my opinion on this kinda stuff is...lets just say weighted to a particular direction. Sad yes people died, unfortunately it sounds like someone bad a series of bad choices that let up to it. Sorry if that was taken as rude, I figured I'd give some substance on why I said what I said.

Milk...I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on this one. My biggest problem with this particular accident is that he took a passenger with him.

Understand that my viewpoint on this comes from having my girlfriend killed by a drunk driver back in 1980.

I have no sympathy for anyone that drinks and drives. Though it may sound rude to you, I would rather that ANY drunk driver wrap themselves around a pole/tree and kill themselves than have harm come to innocent people who are just minding their own business.

Unfortunately, that's what usually happens with drunk drivers....is that they live, and their victims die. Over the years of seeing this happen time and time again, I'd just rather see them off themselves before hurting other people.

Sorry...just my opinion on this...my girlfriend was hit and knocked into a ditch on her bicycle on a country road by a drunk driver. He left the scene and she was left to die overnight in the ditch. The drunk driver served a whole 2 years for murdering my girlfriend.

No problem.
It'a a sad situatipon no matter what. I agree the driver made some really bad choices. But I wouldn't say good riddance to anyone who has died this way.

What's to say, the passenger didn't play some part in the wreck?
It's easy to judge a situation from the outside and without knowing the entire details.
At the end of the day, two people lost their lifes and this should be seen as an example of what not to do. Not as a happy joy party that another drunk driver is off the road.

He could of had 1 beer or many more. We don't know. I wouldn't accuse him drunkiness off the bat. But, speed, booze and good times can kill. Then again, mechanical failure could be a culprit. I'm not making excuses. Just it could of been something else? Poor guy was always punched or kicked in the sack on the show too. Life sucks sometimes.

RIP Ryan Dunn, I grew up watching and loving Jackass. I'm sure the people immediately blaming him wouldn't have been driving their 911 GT3 that slowly either, don't blame the guy for speeding instead mourn him.

This is sad news. However the message is clear that we must drive careful everytime we get behind the wheel and never drive impaired.

Crazy mofo went out the way he and all the Jackass boys should go out. While I mourn, I find awkward solace that he did it in a kinda.. sorta.. stupid.. badass way. Just like what made him famous.

RIP Ryan. Just remember.. in heaven, people don't take kindly to getting dildos sling-shot at them. And every time there's a lightning bolt.. Ryan tried to zap Bam.

I mourn anyone who dies needlessly...however: I know this road. I grew up and began driving not 5 minutes from where this accident happened. A sound mind would NOT have been going fast enough on that road for speed to have been a factor in the death of Ryan and his passenger. While I am saddened by his and his buddy's death, I am also pissed that he chose to drive like he did where he did. He could have easily left the road the other way and killed people in oncoming lanes or hit somebody else. He had the money to rent a track and chose to drive his racecar on the street in an unsafe manner and paid the ultimate price, so did his best friend. That is unexcusable.

Anyone else annoyed by the sanctimonious white knight types that flock to these types of threads? It's like the same ten guys that find speeding "unforgivable" and street racing a "mortal sin". Yeah, we get it. You're an uber responsible bastion of common sense, you've never once driven over the speed limit, you've never picked up an important call behind the wheel, and your sh*t smells like potpourri.

Sometimes moral, intelligent people make mistakes. I don't encourage anything illegal, I'm just tired of the stones and the soapboxes.
