Excellent! This bodes well for the future of the Camaro, and the possible future of cars like the GTO (One would hope)

Yes it does....It doesn't mention anything about the new and kool Camaro. They were mentioning new fuel efficient cars. But we all know that when people go and look at those cars, they might eyeball the Camaro, and say to themselves, "HMMM Maybe I should get one of those?" lol...........

Lets face it though if GM wants to stay on top they need to add some Wow factors to their cars, so far there is no Wow factor except for Camaro, Vette, some sports Caddys and maybe the Buick lacrosse. Some other cars with WF are the Chrysler 300, Charger and Challenger, And for Ford just the Mustang. Can't think of any other cars with WF unless you are talking 40 or 50k.

The good news is that the new products introduced by GM have all had a great wow factor, and many more are coming. There really has not been a new GM product that hasn't done well, each brand has strong product:

Chevrolet - Camaro, Corvette, Cruze, Malibu, Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban are all winners.

Buick- Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, and Enclave are all great.

GMC- Terrain, Acadia, Sierra, Yukon and Denali models are all strong sellers.

Cadillac- all doing great.

Yes, the old GM had some boring cars but the new product is all high quality, doing well and way more is coming! Don't let the old stereotypes get in the way of today's reality.

It'll really be nice when they can do it on the merit of their cars instead of a series of misfortunes to their main competitor. Go GM!

GTO without Pontiac - wonder how they would do that? I guess anything is possible if demand and $$$ are there!

GM has revamped a good deal of their lineup. I think they've put out more new cars in the past few years than several automakers combined....and they're far from done, it seems.

It's paying off.

Being #1 is not nearly as important as being the BEST...so while I hope they continue this momentum and stay where they belong, I also hope they keep sight of the real goal: to build amazing cars and trucks; thus earning new and keeping old customers.

The Charger does not have a WOW factor. Seriously, that car does nothing for me. The Challenger YES

I am the opposite. I would take a 2012 Charger SRT8 anyday. The new ones look sick! The Challengers do nothing for me. While I am at it a 2012 Jeep GC SRT8 sounds good too. Chryslers cars are really improving.

Being number 1 hasn't bode well for GM or Toyota, lets hope some of the old habits don't start creeping back in now.
