How do I post an avatar?

I know it's got to be easily done from my profile pages but the most I've been able to get is a question mark. Thanks.

Well 1 way is to have some pics saved on your computer.

My guess is...the file you are choosing is too big!
is the image you are trying to use on your pc or from a internet photo hosting site like www.photobucket.com (<<<what I use)

I have an image that I shrank to 80x60 pixels and was only able to post it to an album. How do you get to that screen? I know it sounds stupid but I can't seem to find a menu that says avatar.

Hey...I'll tag on here with another question. I can get a signature to work perfectly in the "view your signature" area, but when it posts in the forums, it only shows 1/2 the picture, so I just deleted what I'd put in! I've tried downsizing pictures, but that didn't work either. So what am I doing incorrectly?!

YEAH, I would like to know too. I can't get a photo to come up in my signature at all just says words that indicates a photo????? what's up?

It means your picture and/or words are too big. Try shrinking them some more.
