2010 SS vs 335i

2010 Camaro SS
-Short throw shifter
-eibach lowering springs
-SLP LM II
-CAI Intake
-SLP LT w/ midpipe / high flow cats

vs

BMW 335i e92
-JB3 Tune
-Quad cat-back exhaust
-BOV
-Intake
-Lowered - eibach

Which would you take? Obviously the camaro but when it comes to daily driving (long trips, 200 miles+), drivability (handling, blind spots, etc et ), Gas millage, comfort, practicality. Have u guys experienced the 335i compared to the camaro? Any feedback? Me and my friend are having a debate regarding which one would be better. Need thoughts! :P

Im a Camaro fan totaly... but the bmw has a way higher build quality, especially the interior, the camaro feels and looks cheap, especially compared to a 335i..

my good friend owns a 335i and i feel the total opposite his car is always breaking going into limp mode and others. i feel its not made to the quality i think a BMW should be and i am beyond pleased with the way my camaro drives as a daily driver. overall i would take the camaro hands down any day thats why i got one and not a 335i

dude, you're really REALLY comparing apples and oranges here. it's easy for a BMW guy to say the camaro is overweight and unnecessary. and it'd be easy for a camaro guy (like me) to say the BMW is boring, a dime a dozen and doesn't turn any heads anymore. i mean maybe it's because i'm in Connecticut but seriously who cares about BMW anymore they put me to sleep.

way too much personal preference in the decision. my way of thinking is, if i'm going to be paying for this thing for the next 5 years i better be in love with it. i want to look out the window and love my car every time, so i went with the baddest looking machine i could afford (the v6 version)

if your priorities are gas mileage and blind spots maybe you really should just go w/ the beemer. or perhaps you should consider the V6 cam LLT with some leather seats and such, and you'll be happier w/ the mileage and save some $$$

edit- didn't notice you already drive the SS....woops lol

I've test driven the 335i. Love the handling and even power, but besides the quality of the seats - not too impressed with the interior dash and controls. Of course this is just my opinion and I'm sure others love the interior.

From years of working on BMW's.....their interior is good for 2 years, then everything you try to remove such as panels and clips starts to crack and break

And yes, you will be doing alot of repairs after a couple years on the clock

still better than any domestic I have ever owned (30+ domestics). I still have an e36 M3, yes, the some of the door panel clips were brittle when I removed the panel this year but compare the quality of a BMW to any domestic car after 15 years, driven the same way, same mileage, the quality of BMW will be very noticeable. Just because magazines say Ford or whatever has an initial quality rating of 5 stars, one important thing to keep in mind is the word "initial" before the word quality. Cost more to maintain a BMW though, that is for sure.

the thing that stopped me from buying a 335i over the SS was purely looks, and cost of maintenance beyond their 'free maintenance' plan, lol. I liked the 335i more in most aspects, but it's just another bmw.. all of their models look too similar, there is nothing head turning, it's just a good looking structure that they stretch from one car to another.

nobody gets excited when they see a 335i. hell, people don't even know what the car is capable of, in the uneducated eyes it's just like every other 3 series bmw. its a hell of a car though and I believe it hands the SS it's ass in most categories.

If you modify and beat on the Camaro mercilessly its only going to take it and not break, and probably get slightly faster as the engine breaks in. If you beat on the BMW, you'll sooner or later scatter expensive Bavarian steel all over the pavement.

Sorry, replace the BMW with an Audi and you might get my attention. Clean Camaro win here.
