Philly Car Show

I know people have posted about this already but I will share my thoughts. I was there today and went to Chevy last just so I could savor the moment. I was extatic as soon as got a chance to sit in it. Im a big guy and i was happy with the room, The fit and finish were awesome on the car. You couldnt examine much because it was mostly on lock down. I wish I couldd have spent more time in the car but with a whole line of people waiting to get in I was courteus and made haste. Got enough pictures to choke a horse. MOst comments I overheard were awesome. One bugged me though, someone said it looks to much like a sedan. I almost educated this young woman that sedans have 4 doors, coupes have 2. The orange seets looked pretty damn good up close. In case this question came up, the stripes are on the hood and trunk lid only. I couldnt see the ambient lighting because the cars were not powered up. I laughed at the dodge challenger that has faux carbon fiber stripes. Thats what I want. Fake carbon fiber on a 40 k car. Well now I really cant wait to get mine. For reasons, I will order next year. I will enjoy window shoppping until then.

Glad you enjoyed seeing the Camaro so much.

I was there for the Phila/ Camaro Event, and I honestly found it a little difficult to leave the Camaro display. I actually looked at them as "my kids" and didn't want to leave them to the public. (I know, I need help. )

Same here...Once it opened to the public, I stood by the blue V6 for a while to hear what people were saying, and to correct them on any misinformation. Seemed like everyone was surprised when I told them they could get the car in the low 20's. That day was probably as close as I'll ever get to being a salesman.

It was amzing the misinformation out there. People still thought it was concept. Why is not GM heralding its arrival with a media blitz? I know money is tight but what, are they relying on word of mouth?
