Support in Tucson

I am not sure if I can post this, I dont think it violates any political rules. The link I am putting up is to a storing relating to a nine year old girl who was shot during the incident in Tucson this weekend.

While this is a tragedy in of itself what makes it even worse is the Westboro Baptist Church is planning to protest at the funeral of this little girl. Some of you may know what this church is about some of you may not, I will leave you to form your own opinions but needless to say my opinion is one of utter disgust.

I really hate hearing that the so called church is protesting ANY funeral, let alone the funeral of an innocent 9 yo girl that, from what I heard, was born on 09/11/01 and died in a just as tragic day. Imagine coming into the world on such a day and leaving in such a tragic way, just to have these @$$holes there to protest because of being Catholic!!??!! Really?? Some things in this world just need to be done for a better good.

If I were down in AZ I would definitely show up to do a counter protest. My initial idea for these idiots: Have all the counter protesters carry HUGE signs that show love, support, and sorrow for the victim's family, and stand around those idiots to block out their message of hate.

Sad tragedy made even more unbelievable by idiot protestors. Selfish bastiges. Won't be long before some other nut job opens fire on them and then we'll never hear the end of it.

The news blitz barraging the airwaves over this tragedy shames me, we lose precious sons and daughters at terrorist hands daily overseas and it's not big news. Now some other nutty kid is going to want lots of attention and try their own version.

Heard the girl is second cousins with Sophia Bush (girl from One Tree Hill). Sad indeed, sadder with these stupid WBC giving Catholics/Christians a bad name.

I`m almost embarrassed to say this but if some of their members were to be murdered in the same way as those in Tucson were murdered, the only thing I would feel sad about their members being murdered is that I would not feel sad. :(

The Westboro "church" is primarily several generations of a single family living in a compound. It's like the Waco cult, only smaller and more deranged.
