Whats the worst thing that happened to your car?

This morning my basketball court fell on top of my car. Anybody else have some cool stories?

Major worst thing was going through a no-touch car wash that broke and dropped a bolt on my front fascia. Wash owner paid for the repair though.
2nd worse, my dog barfed up a few kibbles in the passenger seat. He's only 20 lbs and it was only a few sample kibbles a rep gave him at PetSmart.
Oh, and 3 hrs spent removing hard water spots after my husband "hosed the dust off for me" and then let the car sit in the August sun for a couple of hours. That was pretty traumatic - he had no idea.

But seriously, I was backing out of my parking spot in my apt and learned a thing or two about front end swing, tore the front clip on my bumper off when I hit the support holding the car port up. It is actually in the body shop now, cost the ins company 2200. But it also afforded me the chance to get a few mods done while the front bumper was removed and going to need to be painted.

Though not as bad as some, my horror story is still pretty bad.

I was sitting in the left hand turn lane, stopped and waiting for the light. A SUV was turning left, and basically drove through my front end. It was a lady, and she had 3 small dogs in the front seat with her. OnStar came on within 10 seconds and asked if I was alright. I said yes, then they wanted to know if they should call the police. Yes. Was anyone else involved and were they hurt. This took all of 20 seconds or so, and I stated I didn't know, and got out of the car and went to the lady's window. She refused to roll down the window and was on her cell phone. I have no idea if she was on the phone BEFORE the accident though. She never talked to me, and when the cops came she spoke to them.

Results? $11,500 in damage. It did result in me getting painted stripes at the same repair shop though, and they did an awesome job in matching the paint.

I'm surprised this has not happened to me yet! A few times I have shifted over in my seat, because they have gotten so close. I dread being the first in the left turn lane when I have to pull up beside a huge SUV.

Almost had this happen too, but with a Semi and not some queen in an Escalade. That particular intersection wasn't widened enough and yet they keep trying to make the turn..

Just to clarify...this is what happened. Big intersection, lots of room. This wasn't a case where it was just too big a vehicle. This idiot lady just wasn't paying attention. I suspect she was on the cell too. I don't know though, because I was stopped and playing with the radio.
