Angry Beware of scam

(I searched and didn't see anything like this posted. If it was I'm sorry.)

I just saw this on another car forum and thought I would post it here, just in case they are pulling it with other car brands.

This is a very common con pulled with everything under the sun. Back in 2005 I was shopping for a Mark IV Supra TT to play with and came across several of these.

These scams are everywhere. They even have a scam where people in a van sell a fake branded sound system with a fake catalougue and everything.

I believe that a significant percentage of cars offered on craigslist are scams of one sort or another.

In addition, if you're selling a car on CL, ignore any and all inquiries from people out of town - ESPECIALLY the ones who offer to buy your car sight unseen for more than you're asking. These are all scammers, and you'll get a lot of these...

Yeah I dealt with these. I was about to buy a bmw m3 and as I was talking to the lady she said she is out of town and will have the car shipped to my house from Vegas.
Same thing with an Escalade, guy said his wife needed brain surgery in Virginia he was going to ship it to me since he couldnt leave her, and he needed money for the surgery. When I offered to drive out there to look at the parking lot his story changed and I never heard back.

There are a lot of these on Craigs list. They are advertised to be in your city , but are supposedly somewhere else. Also I found a Toyota, Ford and Volvo all with the exact same description of the cars. Scam city !
