I Hate the IRS!

well the IRS is saying that I owe 2700 from 2006 taxes. Apparently they've been auditing a lot of submariners! I guess someone told them that we tend to not keep good records after 2 years. Any help?

It's not a lot of money but you might want to consult with a tax lawyer.

Whew, I thought you were saying you hated Independent Rear Suspension...

I feel for you, I don't think anyone wants to hear the dreaded "You owe more money" phrase from the IRS....

We are having problems with them to. Any accountants around? Something is seriously wrong with the amount of federal tax my wife is paying.

You're highly unlikely to receive accounting advice over the net (I think it might be illegal actually). Definitely get a local accountant or tax attorney to help you out.

I was going to poke a little joke along these lines but then read he is/was a serviceman and changed my mind (you beat me to it anyways).

I wish I could help but it seems the IRS certainly appreciates the sacrifice and service from you. I'm sorry you're getting jacked.
