Home stereo no workie!

So here is the story... Last night I was watching a movie on my PS3 finished the movie, ejected the CD, turned off the Sony Stereo and PS3 player and switched back to Direct TV. The movie finished a bit earlier that I expected so I thought I would get a little time playing Red Dead Redemption (bad ass) online a bit before I hit the sack. About 10 minutes go by and I turn the stereo and PS3 back on and put the game in like I normally do and... NO SOUND!!! WTF! Really this is happening? I turn everything off and wait a few minutes and turn it back on... nothing! So, to make sure it wasn't the PS3 (PS3 screen worked like normal) I switch the stereo to play sound off my Direct TV receiver... nothing, switched to the radio... nothing!

Seriously? This is a Sony home stereo system that was purchased in March 2008. Is this thing toast? Can it be fixed? Any ideas as to what it could be?

Do you have a warranty for it? Doesn't sound promising. Is it possible that you have multiple zones and had the wrong zone selected by accident? Do you have an extra set of speakers? If so, hook them up and see if you get sound from them. Your speakers may be done in.

look for fuses, accessable or unaccessable hidden inside.
