Topr Gear is filming in America again

I thought some of you might find this interesting. Top Gear is filming in America again. I know many of you don’t enjoy this show but it was cool to have them in a small town like ours. They were at our local track (North Wilkesboro Speedway, NC) this week filming some hot laps in 3 cars, Mercedes Benz SLS, Porsche GT3RS, and Ferrari 458 Italia. The track only recently reopened for racing after being closed for 14 years. Jeremy roasted the tires on the Mercedes so bad that they made him replace one before the crew would let them leave (afraid the tire would blow and crash the $450,000 car). I didn’t get to see this personally because they had the track closed for them. Apparently they are driving the cars for a week long trip. This segment seemed to focus on NASCAR and its history. Maybe they will do some driving in a Camaro while they are here. Tope Gear America was also in our county a few months ago filming a show about running moon shine. Maybe they will do a better track comparison of the Camaro than the BBC show did.

sweet I was wondering about the next season. They say "returning in the fall" but nothing more concrete than that. Good to hear they're filming right now.

Love Top Gear! Watch it here in Canada on BBC. Very entertaining and like that they give both auto pros and cons with British humor.
