SPAM ads on the website
We seem to have people joining just to post stupid ads about unlocked htc phones etc, like it is SO hard to unlock them. Can we get someone to take care of this please. like every camaro section is some stupid ad

On the lower left hand side of all posts there is a little warning triangle. Click it and you can report the posts that are spam or offensive. This brings it to the attention of a moderator to remove and close the offending account if necessary. Afterwords, just post the word "reported" as a reply so we all know that a caring member of the forum took the time to help keep the Camaro world spam free.

Yep that is how to do it. My site is not as big as Camaro5 so we have to read each new users first thread and approve it before can be viewed by other readers.
Sometimes the spammers get smart and just join threads in progress then we have to either read them or have an enduser report the spammer. |

Allot has to do with how fast / often this site get indexed by google, thats the whole point to forum spam. More sites that have your link on it, the higher your rankings.
Ive done test and it take take less then 15mins for a post on this site to be in the google index. Which includes any links. |

All we can do is ask you to report them. We'll delete them and ban the person/bot as soon as we can. We had 18 reported spam posts this morning. It's usually two to three new spam bots a day. But, we just highlight all their posts, delete them all and ban them. Only takes 20 seconds to do. Just need to see them first....by you reporting them. SO, thanks!
