Can anyone answer this?
I had a 2015 1le and would hit red line in 2nd gear at 78mph. My 17 1le hits red line at 70mph in 2nd. I would have thought the 3.73 year-end in the 6th gen would have a higher speed in same gear that the 5th gen with a 3.91. Are the transmission ratios different? I can't find any info on the gen 6 ratio..

Not to hijack, but what is the max speed in 1st gear. Do we need to shift to 2nd before hitting 60 MPH?

2015 SS 1LE had larger diameter tires lowering the effective gear ratio 2.39%.

I thought I read somewhere that the transmissions were identical 15 vs 17. Maybe the tire diam? Getting mixed info here???? I would have thought the 3.73 vs 3.91 17 would have higher speeds in same gear. My 17 hits rev limiter about 70 72. Mph. I was in sport not track... could the mode make a 6mph difference?? I shall see..
