converts?

How many people are car converts here? I want to know if we have anyone who used to love Ford, Dodge, or some other brand that has now joined the ranks of Chevy enthusiasts. I am only listing companies with a significant following.

Well I am a die hard for mopar and Chrysler, but you can say that I like gm too, I love to roll in those ss trailblazers, Cherokees so fun, Impalas( could be improved) are nice too, I'm heavy set and with my good looks I think I could pull of a Denali on 28's or a cts/dts

I didn't think you'd respond to this one. I'd definitely rock something SRT, be it Jeep or Dodge. Chrysler has some nice stuff, too, but my true loves are GM—Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac.

I was leaning toward the Challenger or Mustang, but the Camaro's beat them all back.

I've been a Mustang fan since day one and had always wanted to own a classic 60's one, but that wasn't feasible with my current driving situation (needing to be able to drive cross country a few times a year) so I went with the next best thing: a retro-looking modern Mustang.

I'd never really liked the Camaro's looks until my roommate, a big car buff and huge Chevy enthusiast got me looking at pics of the newest Corvette. From there I stumbled onto the fifth gen and I've never looked back.

Well, my first car was a '92 ram with the 12v cummins... that truck was great, it brought me into the world of old mopar muscle cars. When I was looking for a new project a while back, I really couldn't afford one, so I decided to get my Firebird, since I loved my friends '98 Z28. Today, I could never go back to Dodge, except for the Cummins... great motor. Apart from that, I think I'll always have a Jeep and a camaro in my driveway. It's a great combination. I'll never touch a Ford, though.

They were GM. Oldsmobile represented Ford's first significant competition. Buick followed suit, acquiring a variety of companies to create GM. Chevy was started by Buick and GM's founder, a man named Durant, in 1924.

Competely off topic...but did you know that GM almost bought Ford in it's early stages of life? Unfortunately the bank declined the load for the purchase of Ford, and the deal fell through.
Imagine....

Back ON topic: I've been a Chevy guy riding in Dodge's for all my life. There's a grand old car sitting in our garage that is responsible for that. My Pop's '79 Z28. If it wasn't for that car, I believe I'd be sitting in a Mustang right now, very sad and dissapointed.
