2010 Equinox...

...looks awesome (top deck of the auto transporter). I'll be adding the new Equinox to my "investigate closer" list.

They can't keep them in stock. My wife and I went 4 times to look for her and every time they just sold their stock.

Someone here on campus just bought that exact same model. Looks sharp.

Equinoxes are currently spending less than 48 hours on dealer lots...it'll be hard to find one for some time.

I can see why:

The 32mpg Base Equinox LS with FWD for 22.4K features:

Traction Control
Stability Control
4-Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes
OnStar
XM Radio
CD Stereo
Air Conditioning
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Power Mirrors
Power Driver Seat (height and lumbar)
Cruise Control
Rear Defrost
Tilt (and telescopic?) Steering
Variable Speed Intermittent Wipers
Remote Keyless Entry
Anti-Theft System
17" Wheels

The only thing I had to add (on build your own) was floor mats for $80.

Seems unbeatable! And its a nice-looking vehicle to boot!

I LOVE what they did with the new Equinox...It just tramples everything that hopes to compete with it...REALLY a great crossover.

I expect to see sales double from the previous Equinox...just like the Malibu did.

32 MPG is FWD only. AWD is 29 MPG if I recall correctly.

I think you are correct about the 32 mpg being for FWD...the gm.com build your own feature does not change the EPA estimates even when you select the AWD option, but it would seem logical that the mileage would diminish with AWD added. Well then, the FWD version has a base price of just $22.4K plus destination!

Keeping mind that you have a 2.4 AND 3.0 motor option and 6spd auto for the 3.0 to help with fuel economy. My fiance is in love with em so we've been doing a LOT of research.

Both the 2.4 and 3.0 are mated with a 6-speed transmission. I'm floored by all you get in this vehicle, even in the FWD base LS Equinox with the 182hp 2.4 liter...and at price of $22.4!

The wife and I have agreed that an Equinox will be her next vehicle. She wants it in CGM too!
