A few pro drifters tried the Genesis out with a V8, it fits but no one uses the platform anymore.
And the intercooler hints at a turbo six instead of a V8. Not terrible cars though, Hyundai tried with these.

Hyundai teased with the V8 when it first came out, but that car will never sport a V8 from factory. Additionally, Hyundai had a chance to be a player in the sports car market with these, and they came out anemic unfortunately..... great cars...fun to drive....just really...need more power

The Genesis coupe may not have V8 power, but I don't think a 345HP V6 is "anemic". Those things will give a 05 - 10 GT a good run.
