Scored a CPO Sig that was never factory made

The 2 tone Sig Sauer P220 Carry CPO with nickel controls was never a production pistol. The Certified Pre-Owned model parts are in a pile and the assemblers select parts and put together what is essentially a new pistol. The stainless steel slide is from a P220 Elite. WOOHOO!

Now it's off to Bruce Gray's shop for a little work to make it operate slickern' snot on a doorknob.

Behold this beauty - never mind the factory oil on it:

I don't think you could possibly go wrong with that pistol

Do you use oil, or grease on your frame rails? My P226 loves grease.

I picked up a 227 Nitron not too long ago, and it definitely likes to run wet.

If it was offered in stainless, I'd have done that for sure. Your pistol is gorgeous.

Bruce Gray, the Yoda of the Sig, says to use grease. It's not that much of an issue on all stainless steel Sig pistols, but needed on alloy framed ones.

P226, is a little longer barreled version of one of the greatest fighting weapons ever made: the P228
The P226 also has easy caliber swaps if you have the .40 or .357 SIG model. You are VERY prepared with that P226.
